FAQs

Is Paramount Plus free?

No, but new users can take advantage of the seven-day Paramount Plus free trial to gauge their interest in the streaming service before committing to a rolling or annual subscription. You'll need to choose which subscription you'd like to sign up for when your trial ends to take part: its cheapest option is the $7.99 a month Essential plan. If you decide the service isn't for you, you must cancel your subscription before the trial period ends.

How much is Paramount Plus?

That depends on which subscription tier you choose. Paramount Plus is available in two tiers: Essential costs $7.99 a month, or $59.99 a year. Although it doesn't include your local live CBS station, you do get access to live sports such as the NFL on CBS, NWSL and UEFA Champions League matches via a separate live feed. If you want more features, Paramount with Showtime costs $11.99 a month, or $119.99 a year. This plan removes most ads, but a few shows still include promotional interruptions to "keep you in the loop on new and upcoming Paramount Plus programming." Live TV streams also have commercials. Both plans come with 1 week's membership free, and Paramount with Showtime also includes your local CBS live station.

How do I cancel Paramount Plus?

If you want to know how to cancel Paramount Plus, you can do so in a number of ways depending on what device or platform you signed up on. The Paramount Plus website has step-by-step guides on how to cancel a Paramount Plus subscription on an iPhone or iPad, Apple TV, Android phone, tablet or TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku streaming device, Prime Video, Apple TV channel or online.

How can I contact Paramount Plus?

If you want to chat with the Paramount Plus team, you can do so by choosing a topic through their Contact Us page, starting a live chat by clicking the icon in the corner of their website, or by calling 1 (888) 274-5343.

Hints and Tips

Paramount Essential: If you want Paramount Plus for the lowest possible price and can tolerate advertisements, the Essential plan is for you. It costs $7.99, which is half the price of the ad-free Premium package.

Subscribe annually: Like most streaming services, Paramount Plus offers a discount if you commit to a full year upfront. For example, Paramount with Showtime costs $119.99 a year or $12.99 a month. An Essential plan is also cheaper if you take 12 months upfront at just $59.99—that's $5 a month (versus the usual $7.99).

Watch out for limited-time promotions: Now and then, Paramount Plus will offer limited-time offers to save you on the cost of your monthly subscription fee. Just this year, we've seen 25% off an annual Paramount Plus subscription and prices of $1 per month to celebrate the platform's first birthday.

Make the most of the seven-day free trial: New members can sign up for a seven-day free trial of the service to see if they like it before they pay for a subscription. Occasionally, you can also find Paramount Plus coupon codes for extended free trials. We've previously seen extensions of up to 30 days, saving you a month of fees.

How we source coupon codes

The coupons you’ll find on Tom’s Guide have been sourced by our dedicated coupons team, who use the web, our relationships with retailers, & our affiliate networks to find the latest codes. The offers on each coupon page are updated every few days to ensure we feature the freshest ways to save, and our commercial team (based in London) also sources exclusive codes and sales info directly from some of the biggest retailers around.

How we test coupon codes

All the coupon codes we list on our pages have been tested by our deals & offers teams to check they work as intended before they’ve been uploaded. You’ll find a wide range of coupons on Tom’s Guide, including free shipping offers, student discounts, and savings on various kinds of products.

To ensure that all listed codes are available to use, we don’t include any one-time use or user-specific coupons. We also provide as much information as we can to keep things as clear as possible - any expiry dates or terms & conditions will be listed alongside the code. Look for the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text - you’ll be able to click this to expand this section for more details.

What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work

We take care to only list tried & tested coupons on our pages, so all codes should be active and confer the listed discount or deal. However, although we keep up to date with expiry dates and any terms & conditions, sometimes retailers change these before we can update our pages.

Should a coupon fail to work as expected, check you meet any listed requirements. These can include minimum spends, multibuy offers, or product-specific promotions (i.e. 10% off selected tablets). You can view all associated requirements by clicking “View terms and conditions” below your code.

If this does not solve your issue, you can contact our customer service team by emailing coupons.tomsguide@futurenet.com. Make sure to let us know which coupon you were trying to use and which page this was listed on, and we’ll be in touch to help as soon as possible.

How we make money

Tom’s Guide makes money from coupons through a commission-based model. We have agreements in place with each retailer on our site - for every purchase made using one of our coupons or deals, we earn a small percentage of the order total back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can save our customers money without charging them a thing. You won’t pay a penny to get the discounts listed on our pages, so whichever code or deal you choose, you’ll get exactly what it says on the tin.
